Health Insurance Exchanges off to a Bumpy Start

A recently released report from the Pew Research Center for People and the Press said that Americans have found that the Health Insurance Exchange website is off to a rocky start.  Respondents who went to the site and said that they thought it was "not working too well" or "not well at all" stand at a rate of 46% while 29% of respondents said that it was working "fairly well" or "very well," and 25%  of respondents said that they "don't know" how the site is working. The data are taken from a survey of a random sample of adult Americans on October 9 through 13, 2013 via landline or cell phone interviews.

TeachingWithData.org offers several teaching and learning tools on the topic related to health including access to health care, such as Sociology of Healthcare, Unit on Health and Globalization, Social Class and Health, and Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health, to name a few.
